New story: Spaces to shine

One of our latest stories (written by Johanna Lagerfors and photographed by me) was published recently in the magazine ETC. It features a British project that helps young people to develop their talents in sport and culture by giving them different kinds of spaces. Trip to London

Recently I went with my freelance collegue Johanna Lagerfors to London. Less than a week and seven different stories to do for Swedish news papers and magazines so it was pretty intense. We travelled all over London to make stories about the Punjabi community in Southall, vintage shopping, the best markets in town and about youth projects in Brixton.

Earlier this year I was living in the wonderful city Valparaiso in Chile. There I got to know the Swedish freelance journalist Lisa Karlsson. We did some storys together and today one of them was finally published in the Swedish newspaper Sydsvenskan. Lisa has spent a lot of time working on a story about the unfair situation of the Chilean seasonal field workers in the wine industry. A lot of the wine made there is exported to Sweden.

I went with Lisa to meet some of these brave women who are struggling for their rights. Even if it means losing their job and get black listed. Dont miss this interesting and important article! The photos are taken by me and the text is written by Lisa.

Violence as entertainment

Yesterday I went to a wrestling show with characters like Bad Buddha, Dr Sadism and Huckleberry Sinn. Even though it’s very brutal and silly there is something about it that really fascinates me! First time I went to a show like this was in Valparaiso, Chile, where I spend a lucha libre night in a dark cellar of a martial art club. These pictures you can find under “Stories”. Soon I will publish more photos from yesterday! Here is a sneak peak: Jenny Sjödin, one of the best female wrestlers in the world, in a fight against the creepy looking Dr Sadism in a black rubber dress.
